Sterling Silver Amethyst Pansy Ring, Size 8.25, 15mm wide and 2.55 grams. It has a small amethyst stone that is app. 2.5mm across. Five tiered petals to the pansy. It is signed NVC and .925 and tested too. It has an offset band - one side is off the top of the blossom and the other the bottom. Amethysts are the easiest stone to grow in the lab and not easy to know if it is natural or lab created. It takes very expensive equipment to know for sure and that has driven the price of amethysts down because grass roots gemologist and even local jewelry stores do not have the expensive equipment to tell. However a lab created stone is not simulated - it is created with the same properties as a natural stone. This is not glass - but tests as amethyst - we just don't know if it is natural or created. Either way, this is a cute ring, especially for the pansy love. Very good condition - only light tarnish that can be cleaned/polished but is great as is. See photos. (Lot. Loc.
