Vintage Horse in Horseshoe Brooch, Britannia (peweter-like) Silver Tone, 2", Mid-Century

Vintage Horse in Horseshoe Brooch, looks like pewter but believe this is Britannia which is an alloy with tin similar to pewter but a little more hard and durable from surface pitting and scratches. This is 2" wide and tall and features a thoroughbred in a trotting stance inside a horseshoe. It has a darker pewter color that can be polished a bit brighter if desired.
It is otherwise in very goodcondition. It has a small mark by the maker on the back of a huff - it looks like a J and something else. Age is 1940's-1950's, Mid-Century. See photos. (Lot. Loc. W.3.219.G.6 LD. 4/24/19).
